关于我们

H3D offers the world's highest-performance imaging spectrometers. Our technology is based on over a decade of groundbreaking research in the highly ranked Nuclear Engineering department at the University of Michigan. We formed H3D, Inc. in 2011 to commercialize this technology. H3D's gamma camera, Polaris-H, was prototyped in 2012 and introduced commercially in late 2013. It has been deployed at nuclear plants around the US, including at the Fermi 2 and Cook nuclear facilities. We are dedicated to developing customer-driven products. We encourage you to contact us to help us develop products that meet your needs. H3D is committed to providing our customers with the highest performance - and most user friendly - instruments possible. We strongly believe that our products can change how you do your job. We want to get them in your hands. Contact us to inquire about a quotation or demo. Our customer support team is available 24/7.

Whether you need to characterize #radioactivewaste or equip warfighters with the right #CBRNe tools, H3D's A Series detector has you covered. Its <1.1% energy resolution is perfect for accurately and quickly identifying radioactive sources with only a 2 minute startup time. The A Series is spectroscopically comparable to HPGe detectors, but is fieldable and costs similarly to scintillator detectors. You can learn more about H3D's new A Series handheld radioisotope identifier this week at the ICOND 2024 event, the CBRN RDAX Dragon Spear event, or on H3D's website.

H3D is happy to announce that we are participating in the CBRN RDAX Dragon Spear event this month! The event is a collaboration with USSOCOM and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs. It showcases innovative technologies to better equip warfighters in environments with CBRN concerns. H3D will be demonstrating the following products: - T410 ruggedized, mounted gamma-ray imaging spectrometer - M400iC drone-based gamma-ray imaging spectrometer - A401 high resolution, handheld radioisotope identifier - H420 handheld gamma-ray imaging spectrometer #JPEOCBRND #CBRN #Innovation #RDAX

?? H3D, Inc.’s GammaTrend system provides continuous monitoring of radiological sources in nuclear power stations, complementing traditional water chemistry and radiation measurements. ? Originally developed in response to a need for better monitoring of CRUD bursts, it can also be used for coolant outage, radiochemistry measurements, and resin bed accumulation. ?? Using H3D’s S100 high-resolution CZT gamma spectrometers, GammaTrend can detect radionuclides that collect in pipes, including gamma emitters like Ag-100m that can be missed by typical water sampling methods. ?? Last year, H3D participated in a US military operational exercise event that simulated radiological threats for training several US-based groups. H3D's M400iC was integrated onto a drone for a mission where a soldier operated the drone and M400iC after arriving on site via helicopter. The soldier was able to use H3D's innovative radiation imaging technology to localize the radiation source in real-time by overlaying an aerial-based radiation image onto an optical image from the drone. You can see in the picture below that the Co-60 source was successfully identified and localized. This was performed in roughly 30 seconds from 10's of meters off the ground. Imaging this radiation source in real time led to a faster, safer completion of the training scenario that minimized the amount of soldiers placed in harm's way. #CBRNE #radiation #drone

H3D's GammAware 3D radiation imaging tool combines Simultaneous Localization And Mapping (#SLAM) and radiation imaging to overlay #radiation hot spots onto a 3D model of the scanned area. To perform 3D imaging, events are collected in a moving detector.? At the time of each event, GammAware knows the 3D position and orientation of the detector.? With that information, we can project possible incident directions of the gamma ray back into voxels covering 3D space.? This is the basic simple back projection (SBP) method in 3D.? In this month's picture, you can see two of the options available for displaying the 3D radiation information. 3D space can be fully voxelized, or just the surfaces of objects can be used. The two figures below shows a hot spot in a pipe using a full reconstruction of 3D space (top) and the same scenario but with the reconstruction limited to the surfaces (bottom).

Meet the Nuclear Biological Chemical Reconnaissance Vehicle Sensor Suite Upgrade (NBCRV SSU)! ?? Our Joint Project Manager for CBRN Sensors team developed this specialized vehicle system to detect chemical, radiological, and biological threats in its immediate environment and automatically warn warfighters. The integrated sensor suite combines information from multiple detectors and transmits warning messages through the vehicle’s command and control equipment to alert follow-on forces. ?? Last month H3D announced our latest product, the H1600 gamma-ray imaging spectrometer, which has 4 times the detector volume of our standard imaging spectrometers. One of the advantages that a large detector volume brings is the ability to quickly and accurately identify weak radiation sources, since time to detect a weak source is inversely proportional to device active volume. In the figure below, this trend is clearly demonstrated for a weak Cs-137 source producing ~3 uR/h for an H1600 and H420. For a normal H1600, we would expect this time ratio to be approximately four-to-one. The detector used for these measurements was equipped with experimental ASICs that have lower energy resolution than H3D's commercial products, so the H1600 for this trial achieved a 60% detection probability in roughly one-third the time of an H420.
