Did you know that according to the American Public Power Association it takes an average of 11,857 gallons of water to produce 1 Megawatt-hour of electricity - enough to power the average American home for 1.2 months or drive an electric vehicle 3600 miles? Solar power uses very little, which means solar power is water conservation. So, we were especially excited to host the Solar Adopter's Conference yesterday at our facility in Coatesville. This collaboration between the Chester County Planning Commission and the CCEDC - Chester County Economic Development Council was an informative gathering of Federal, State, County, and Industry leaders to discuss the process, funding, and case studies for utilizing this alternative energy source. This "standing-room-only" event was a huge success and we were thrilled to be a part of it.
