Last week, our team at the Field Support Center came together with LifeSouth Community Blood Center to host a blood drive at our Tucker Office and we’re glad to share that our team members stepped up to donate. Blood Centers like LifeSouth provide blood and plasma to major hospitals and medical facilities in need during emergency situations. Donating blood is a small act of service we can participate in to make a big positive impact on our community. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and to the healthcare professionals who made it all possible. This past month at GMS, we celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month, leaning into the national theme “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together.” We honored the accomplishments of Latino changemakers who have helped shape the United States’ social and economic landscape. From famous names like Cesar Chavez to trailblazing women in construction like Linda Alvarado and the countless others who we don’t mention, we are grateful for those who dedicated their lives, talents and skills to giving back and paving the way for future generations. Last week we hosted our fifth GMS Ignite session of 2024. Happy Driver Appreciation Week! Meet Vince Garcia, a driver for J&B Materials El Cajon, CA. Vince started driving 36 years ago in Northern California and has worked at J&B Materials for 21 years.
