Offering some ideas to bolster discussion on the benefits open source information; especially large commercial remote sensing data sets that require automation and AI for rapid insights. The open source community can ensure AI tools stay accurate and reveal bias in media. National Security Institute (NSI) #remotesensing #osint
#READNOW The National Security Institute (NSI) has released a new Law and Policy Paper by NSI Visiting Fellow David Gauthier, which proposes creating an independent Executive Branch Open Source Information Agency to enhance OSINT’s effectiveness across national security sectors by improving speed, scale, and shareability. With an initial $100 million budget and 100 civilian personnel, the agency would operate outside the Intelligence Community to maximize OSINT’s potential beyond classified environments.
