Last Friday marked a significant milestone for the GW Women in Finance Alliance as we embarked on our first D.C. trek to the U.S. Department of the Treasury! To kick off the event, our members toured the Treasury and then had the privilege of hearing from a panel of phenomenal speakers from the Financial Stability Oversight Council. The panelists shared each of their journeys and discussed their experiences as women working in finance and economics. Thank you to our incredible Vice President of Events, Madison Bachmayer, who made this experience possible! As we reflect on this experience, we are appreciative of the inspirational women whose kindness enables us to grow and learn from their experiences. Additionally, we are reminded of the importance of collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning in our pursuit to build a community of empowered female leaders. We look forward to sharing similar moments, as we work to advance the personal and career development of women in finance!
