The Gwinnett Place CID is a self-taxing district organized in 2005 comprised of 245 commercial properties. The CID's mission is to "enhance the economic vitality of Gwinnett County's central business district by strengthening the area's role as the center of commercial activity and success." In addition to comprehensive planning efforts to address traffic congestion, streetscaping and redevelopment opportunities, the CID's board of directors remains committed to increasing the long-term economic sustainability of greater Gwinnett Place.

The Gwinnett Place area in Duluth has become the new hub for the growing Korean community. Atlanta’s emergence as a major K-pop destination, with many U.S. concerts making their only Southeast stop here, has increased awareness of Korean culture and fueled demand for Korean food.
