We are happy to announce our partnership with SUM 2025 - 8th Multidisciplinary Symposium on Circular Economy and Urban Mining, which will be held in Naples, Italy, 21-23 May 2025. Organized by the IWWG-International Waste Working Group, the conference will cover all aspects of the Circular Economy through a?multidisciplinary approach, bringing together experts and stakeholders from all around the world and fostering dialogue and synergistic collaboration among diverse fields, such as Engineering, Environmental Science, Economics, Medicine, Social Sciences, Law, Sociology and beyond.?The scientific programme will include parallel tracks of oral sessions, workshops, poster presentations and many other engaging activities.

I am grateful for the opportunity to have been invited to the stunning island country of Mauritius last week by Mr. Rajiv Agninotri, President of Save Our Planet Earth (SOPE), a member organization of the GWCN — Global Waste Cleaning Network. It was an honor to speak at the seminar organized by SOPE, which focused on the critical themes of Climate Change, Biodiversity Conservation, and Waste Management for Small Island States. I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to SOPE for being at the forefront of environmental action and conservation in Mauritius. I am also delighted that GWCN is collaborating with SOPE on this seminar. This partnership underscores our shared commitment to addressing environmental challenges through innovative and sustainable solutions. Furthermore, I am honored to have received an award trophy from Dr. Ritish Ramful, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mauritius, and to have presented an award trophy to Dr. the Honourable Arvin Boolell, Minister of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy, and Fisheries of Mauritius.
