Fitting that as the tributes from all corners to John Feinstein roll in, we celebrate the BB&T Classic too in a building where the GW Revs once again look to make magic happen tonight. Here's Feinstein on the call decisively saying "no" as Maurice Creek arched in a game-winner that was a certain "yes." John Feinstein created a sports writer’s legacy that all of us wish we had. It’s remarkable how prolific he was in all media. And even though he could be difficult – he was always very good to me – it speaks to what kind of person he was by the access he was given for many of his books and relationships. he built up. But consider this – with all the books, columns, TV and radio appearances, he actually created his own basketball tournament. The BB&T classic was great college basketball in the area for about 20 years. That was his baby.
