Introducing Monster, the heartwarming feline presence here at Goodness Village. ?? He’s been with us since he was a kitten, and his role has grown to include everything from 'meeting mascot' to 'chicken herder'! Monster serves as a reminder of the simple joys that make Goodness Village such a special place, bringing warmth and comfort to both our neighbors and staff. His calm demeanor and playful spirit help keep the mood light and bring a sense of home to all who encounter him.

?? There’s a common misconception that unhoused individuals come from other cities, but the truth is, most were born and raised in this community. (In fact, most of our neighbors remember when the land for Goodness Village was a dairy farm!) These are our neighbors—people who’ve lost housing in the place they’ve always called home. Together, we can create a community where everyone has the support they need to thrive ??

On March 29th, the Enough! Women’s Conference is bringing together an incredible group of women for a day filled with empowerment, connection, and inspiration. Hosted by Danielle Hawthorne and Worthy of Dignity, this event is all about stepping into your worth and embracing your true self. We’re especially excited that our very own Kim Curtis, Executive Director of Goodness Village, will be part of this powerful lineup! We are truly grateful to the Hindu Community and Cultural Center - Livermore Temple for recognizing Goodness Village as one of 40 organizations awarded grants this past weekend. HCCC’s commitment to “giving back to the community” is inspiring, and this generous support will help us continue providing stable housing and resources for our neighbors.
