Project Update.?For over three years the Guth DeConzo Consulting Engineers, PC and Guth DeConzo Construction Management, Inc Teams have been engaged for a Confidential Client under an EPC Contract to design and build a 1.5MW Combined Heat and Power system at a luxury hotel and residence in Manhattan.?I am very pleased to announce that Guth DeConzo has successfully completed all start-up and commissioning activities related to the CHP system and has synched to Con Edison.?This extremely difficult project is a testament to the hard work of our Engineering, Construction Management and Commissioning Groups.?With exacting tolerances for acoustical and vibration requirements and constructing the entire system in existing spaces which allowed for less than ?” of clearance, this project has tested the skills, and patience, of our entire Team.?None of this would have been possible without the amazing work of our Subcontractors Boilermatic Welding Industries, Inc., MULTIPHASE ELECTRICAL LIMITED, SAI Advanced Power Solutions, INC., The Pace Companies and Equipment Suppliers The Kinsley Group and Viessmann.?Thank you to everyone on the Team for your efforts on this one!??

Project Update.?The Guth DeConzo Construction Management, Inc Team recently welcomed students from the Green Tech High Charter School to our City of Albany, New York Lincoln Park Pool Project.?Following a Safety Talk and project briefing by Guth DeConzo Construction Management, Inc Senior Superintendent Paul Giller and the Weston & Sampson Design Team, the Green Tech High Charter School students were provided a walkthrough of the site so they could see ongoing work up close.?Guth DeConzo Construction Management, Inc believes strongly in engaging and introducing the next generation of great construction professionals to our industry every opportunity we can and thoroughly enjoyed the questions we received from this receptive audience.?We look forward to welcoming them back soon as we race toward a June, 2025 completion.

Incredible to see all the cutting edge technology being studied and developed at Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) such as MicroGrids, BESS, Hydrogen, Ammonia and many others and the potential applications they offer as we continue toward electrification and decarbinization! Earlier this month, our electrical systems expert, Jim Day, led training at our 10MW emergency backup generator project. To ensure that operators are fully trained on how to safely and successfully operate the new system, Jim, along with representatives from Caterpillar Inc. and Guth DeConzo Consulting Engineers, PC, covered the following topics: ? PMAC (power monitoring and control) System ? Paralleling switchgear ? Caterpillar control panels ? Urea and compressed air piping heat trace ? Urea forwarding skid/storage ? Fuel oil forwarding skid ? Fuel oil polishing skid ??Lighting controls ? Fire alarm integration ? HVAC fans, dampers, duct heaters, temp sensors, etc.

Guth DeConzo Construction Management, Inc is under contract with New York Power Authority to construct NYC Metropolitan Transportation Authority Phase 2 Battery Electric Bus (BEB) Charging Infrastructure Project, one of the largest BEB infrastructure projects undertaken. This project will provide overhead pantograph and cable reel charging infrastructure at seven existing bus depots throughout the NYC Metro area, Con Edison infrastructure upgrades at three existing bus depots as well as an integrated Charge Management System and a Long-Term Service Agreement. Thank you to all our project partners – E-J Electric Installation Co., PJS Group, Multi Phase Electric, Inc., ABB, Heliox, Hitachi Energy, INIT Innovations in Transportation, Inc. and ABM Industries. We are looking forward to working together on this transformative project in support of NYPA and MTA’s commitment to sustainability and their transition to a zero-emission bus fleet. Three nights of rigging completed on Guth DeConzo Construction Management, Inc's Bellevue Hospital Combined Heat and Power Project. Congratulations to the entire Guth CM Team, DYNAMIC US INC., and Budco Enterprises, Inc. Rigging in NYC is never easy, especially with a logistically challenging site but the Project Team accomplished their goal. "Plan your work and work your plan" never fails. With all equipment in place, it's time to start the work toward powering up the 4MW engines and provide a redundant power source to NYC Health + Hospitals flagship hospital. Special thanks to the hard working men and women of New York City Police Department for helping us navigate the streets of Manhattan with our oversized equipment.
