As we welcome 2024 with open arms, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey of the past year and, indeed, the remarkable 15-year adventure that brought us to this point. In 2023, my personal and professional life underwent significant changes, and it's humbling to think back on the path that led me to where I am today. Fifteen years ago, I took a leap of faith, leaving a secure job to establish?Gurnet Consulting. Little did I know that I was embarking on this journey just six months before the 2008 Great Recession—the most challenging economic downturn since the Great Depression. As the world faced impending economic doom, I remember sitting in my car, contemplating the future, with my wife's question echoing in my mind: "Is this going to work?" Our three young children enjoyed breakfast at the kitchen table, unaware of the uncertainties ahead. I made a silent commitment at that moment: "This must work." Driven by a vision to create a firm where relationships are cherished, work is a source of pride, and trust is earned, we navigated the challenges ahead. Our formula for success remained simple but powerful: great people delivering great results for great clients. Fast forward to today, and our vision remains unchanged. It was a challenging journey, but our commitment to core values and high standards was a guiding light, ensuring we stayed true to the mission. I am immensely grateful for the network that supported us along the way—outstanding employees, wise advisors, supportive mentors, caring family and friends, committed business partners, and faithful clients. This team's collective intelligence and camaraderie fueled the success of every engagement and endeavor at Gurnet. Our partnerships with civic, community, and academic organizations such as?Year Up,?Society for Information Management, the?American Heart Association,?Mystic Aquarium,?Bryant University,?Providence College, and?Framingham State University?enriched our understanding of civic responsibility and community contribution. As we turn the page to the next chapter, Gurnet has been acquired by?Praecipio, a leading management consulting firm specializing in?Atlassian. This partnership aligns seamlessly with our values and vision. Our combined organization is now North America's largest Atlassian Solution Partner, equipped with broad delivery capabilities in Enterprise Agility, DevOps, and Enterprise Service Management. I extend my deepest gratitude to all my friends and colleagues who made this journey possible. Your support has been the driving force behind every success, and I am excited to embark on this new chapter in my career. Here's to a year of growth, collaboration, and continued success. Cheers to 2024! #NewBeginnings?#Gratitude?#NextChapter?#Gurnet?#Praecipio?#Atlassian?#EnterpriseAgility?#DevOps?#ESM?#Collaboration?#Success2024
