Stephan Kwapis, Gumseat Productions founder and CEO, recycled the name 'Gumseat' from a comic strip he used to draw as a child, when he had dreams of becoming a newspaper comicstrip artist. Stephan worked as an art director at a screen printing company for years, but when his second child was born with special needs he wanted to be able to control his schedule so he could be available for appointments and therapies. It took years, but Stephan now works alongside his wife Leah, and is able to be more hands-on with their three children.
