Happy First Day of Spring! Did you know what you plant this season can have an impact on our waterways? Planting native plants attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies, which help those plants thrive. Healthy, thriving plants stabilize soil and filter runoff, reducing erosion and keeping pollutants out of waterways. It’s a simple way to support both wildlife and water quality. Spring is here, and while many of us are beginning to spruce up our yards, it’s important to think about how yard work can impact the environment. Using eco-friendly fertilizers, properly disposing of yard waste, and keeping storm drains clear of leaves and debris can make a big difference in protecting our environment and water. Let’s work together to keep Texas beautiful!
