That’s a wrap for this year’s Texas Water 2025, the nation’s largest regional water and wastewater conference. We especially want to thank our amazing staff and esteemed GCA Board of Directors Mark Schultz, Kevin Scott, Billy Enochs, Amber Batson, and Robert Swanson who joined us for this week’s events - a fun and educational week with our many water and wastewater partners locally, regionally, statewide, and nationally. A special thank you to GCA employee, Drew Castillo for serving on the Host Committee - arranging and directing transportation for this year’s event, and our General Manager/CEO Elizabeth Fazio Hale, JD, LLM for serving as this year’s Host Committee Co-Chair. P.E. , Chairwoman of the Texas Water Development Board, Tina Petersen, Ph.D., P.E., Ph.D., P.E., Executive Director for Harris County Flood Control District, and Connie Curtis, Director of Technical and Operational Services for San Jacinto River Authority. We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding GCA team members that were awarded for their dedication, professionalism, and leadership in the wastewater industry at Texas Water 2025. Congratulations to Jevonne Bass for winning the Lab Analyst Excellence Award; Scott Koerber for receiving the Hatfield Award - an award established in honor of Dr. William D. Hatfield presented to operators of wastewater treatment plants for outstanding performance and professionalism; the GCA Bayport Wastewater Industrial Facility for being recognized as the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Year; and Phyllis Frank for 35 years as a Water Environment Association of Texas member.
