Last weekend we had the privilege of partnering with Musack’s Rock and Roll Carnival, helping to give teens and kids a voice through music! Incredible performers like Shepard Fairey, Josie Cotton, Fred Armisen, Jim James, and so many more came together to raise money for youth music programs across the country and rock out while they did it. The devastation from Hurricanes Helene and Milton is unprecedented, leaving entire communities in ruins and recovery efforts facing immense challenges. Our hearts go out to anyone navigating the aftermath of these catastrophic events. The Guitar Center Foundation believes in the power of coming together during challenging times and making a difference to those who need it. We are announcing that all Guitar Center stores will participate in a Round-Up matching campaign for October. For every dollar contributed to these relief efforts, Guitar Center will match the donation up to $25,000. With the money provided, the Foundation will partner with local organizations to make grants to help rebuild music programs in need. Check out what Newport Elementary School did with the musical equipment we provided for them! They put on a talent show so that the students could express themselves and show off their skills! Whether with microphones, instruments, or speakers, we’re ecstatic that we could support their creative education and experience.
