The Guilford County Family Justice Center serves as a national model and inspiration for family justice centers across the state and country. Their work, expertise, and spirit of collaboration was on display this week as they hosted the 6th Annual North Carolina Family Justice Center & Collaborative Communities Conference in Greensboro.? ? More than 500 attendees representing 13 states, 32 North Carolina counties, and several international visitors participated in powerful presentations, survivor panel discussions, and informative breakout sessions over the two-day gathering.? ? Thank you to all who attended and to the Guilford Family Justice Center for continuing to inspire, educate, and collaborate towards a safer future for all communities.??

Today, the Guilford County Board of Commissioners was awarded the 2024 Outstanding Board of Health by the Association of NC Boards of Health (ANCBH) for their impactful work of reducing infant mortality through the Every Baby Guilford program. The 6th Annual North Carolina Family Justice Center & Collaborative Communities Conference kicked off today at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center. Hosted by the Guilford County Family Justice Center and Safe Alliance, the two-day conference focuses on building collaborations and cross-system partnerships to enhance the health and safety in communities across North Carolina. Speakers today included Guilford County Commissioner At-Large Kay Cashion, Guilford County Family Justice Director Catherine Johnson, and domestic abuse survivors who shared their inspiring stories with a full house of partners, advocates, and family justice professionals.
