This has been an awesome project to work on! We worked with Chris on his Range Apex business plan, branding and then rolled into development. Product is 100% #madeinUSA. From fabric, to trim and cut and sew! Range Apex is launching next month. Be a part of the brand by naming their first product - a technical pant for wind turbine technicians! Drop your comments and suggestions below and support this new brand by following their page Range Apex! #workwear #rangeapex #windturbine #technicial #mensapparel #madeinusa #guidedmakers

What’s in a name??We have a story behind our company name, and we like it.?Within the brand, we do need to come up with names for individual products.?Currently, we only have one; for those who don’t know us yet, we are making wind technician pants and we are making them in America.?The fabric is #MadeInUSA, the zippers are #MadeInUSA, the buttons are #MadeInUSA, the knee-pads are #MadeInUSA, etc. We are looking for a name to give the pants and we want it to come from you.?Repost with a comment including your suggestion for a name and why you think it should be the one that gets picked.?We’d like to steer clear of politics and religion, but otherwise, let the ideas flow… Come check us out at #OMS25 (booth 227) and see the finished product. If you are looking for one pair of pants, or looking to outfit all of your field teams, stop in and let's chat. We are very new to Instagram, but follow us there too and stay tuned for updates happening imminently.? https://lnkd.in/gQJKSfph Of course there will be a prize.?It will probably be a pair of pants.??

What’s in a label? More than meets the eye. ??? For fashion brands, those small tags and labels inside every garment are doing more than most people realize. From providing fabric details to communicating sustainability efforts, labels are a powerful way to connect with consumers while meeting legal requirements. Guided Makers breaks it down: Labels carry the information today’s conscious consumers demand. Shoppers aren’t just looking for a pretty garment; they want to know: ? What’s it made of? Fiber content and care instructions help customers make informed choices and extend the lifespan of their clothing. Clear care details reduce wear and tear, ensuring products live up to expectations. ? Where did it come from? Country-of-origin labeling tells the story of your garment’s journey. It’s more than just geography—this transparency builds trust and can influence consumer perceptions. ? Does it align with my values? Labels that highlight sustainable sourcing, ethical manufacturing, or eco-friendly materials empower customers to make purchases that reflect their beliefs. Beyond branding, labels must meet rigorous legal standards that vary by country and region. Here are some of the key requirements brands need to be aware of: ? Fiber Content & Care Instructions: These ensure customers know what materials were used and how to properly care for the garment. This is critical for extending product life and improving customer satisfaction. ? Country of Origin: Most jurisdictions require clear labeling of where the garment was made. This not only influences consumer trust but also plays a role in trade agreements and import/export duties. ? Sizing Information: Clear and accurate sizing reduces returns and keeps customers happy. Misleading sizing can erode trust and drive up operational costs. ? Flammability Standards: Particularly important for children's clothing, labels must demonstrate compliance with safety regulations to protect consumers from potential harm. ? Terminology Accuracy: If your label uses terms like “organic” or “sustainable,” they must comply with strict standards to avoid misleading claims. Non-compliance could lead to penalties or legal action. Failing to meet these requirements doesn’t just risk fines or recalls—it can damage a brand’s reputation. Staying compliant builds credibility with both consumers and industry regulators. In today’s fashion industry, labels aren’t just tags—they’re powerful tools for communication, compliance, and connection. How do you see garment labels evolving in the future? It's Fun Fact Friday! Did you know that high heels were originally designed for men? In the 10th century, Persian men wore heels while riding horses to help them stay secure in their stirrups. Over time, European aristocrats adopted the trend as a symbol of status and power. It wasn’t until the 18th century that high heels became more associated with women’s fashion! ??
