In a world where our community's rich tapestry of stories faces the risk of being suppressed, hidden, or even erased in the coming years, it's more important than ever to ensure every voice is heard. I'm reaching out to nonprofits, community leaders, corporations, and everyone who has the means to invest in storytelling. By partnering with dedicated journalists, songwriters, filmmakers, and other passionate storytellers, we have the unique opportunity to preserve and celebrate the narratives that define our communities. I feel deeply that keeping our community's stories alive isn't just about honoring our past, it's about safeguarding our future. With so much at stake, we need to act now. Many of these important stories are in danger of being lost, and it’s up to us to bring them into the light before they vanish. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the trailblazers already paving the way: Tara Jae, PhD, MFA of YouthSeen, the El Pomar Foundation, the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, Patrick Nelson with D2, Preston Goff with The Exodus Road, the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region, Benjamin Anderson at SOLID ROCK COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION and SO many others. Their commitment to capturing and sharing diverse narratives, from our business leaders and vibrant youth to our arts supporters and underserved communities, it is an inspiration. Let’s invest in the power of storytelling. By doing so, we not only document our collective history but also create a foundation for a future enriched with understanding, activism, inspiration, and unity. Now is the time to ensure that the stories of our community remain vibrant, resilient, and ever-present for generations to come.

Today marks a moment I’ve been looking forward to for weeks, the launch of Kimberly Gold's announcement as a candidate for City Council. But what truly moved me was the honor of being part of this campaign. When Kimberly asked Guerrilla Media to lead the visuals for her campaign, I didn’t hesitate. I’ve seen her heart for people, her passion for the community, and her genuine drive to make this city a better place. Saying “yes” was a no-brainer. This project also made me reflect on the power of the phrase “I trust you.” As a video professional, those words can sometimes feel empty, too often translating to, “I trust you…to do this as quickly and cheaply as possible, exactly how I tell you to do it.” But with Kimberly, I knew she meant it. The collab with Kimberly Gold, Kimberly Davis, and myself resulted in something simple yet impactful: no fluff, no b-roll of staged moments, no clichés. Just Kimberly, directly and honestly connecting with the community. That straightforwardness and authenticity? We felt like it’s exactly what’s been missing lately, and I’m proud of what we accomplished. What do you think? LET’S GO 4 GOLD! ????
It’s time to share something that’s been on my heart for a while… I’m officially running for City Council, District 4, in Colorado Springs! I’m beyond excited to share that Guerrilla Media is among the small businesses selected to receive the Comcast Rise grant! When I say I am truly floored by this incredible opportunity, I mean it. What Comcast is doing for small businesses across the nation is going to have SUCH an impact, standing alongside the small business sector and showing genuine support. Let me tell you a bit about how this all started. It was through active encouragement that I decided to attend a public announcement at the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, where Comcast unveiled this amazing grant opportunity for cities and states across the country. With Colorado Springs and Pueblo being among the cities included, I found myself sitting in the second row, surrounded by a PACKED house of small business owners, city mayors, city officials, and news outlets. I remember thinking, “Well, there is NO way I’m going to get this grant, but it’s VERY cool to be in the room!” Fast forward to Tuesday, August 13th. I was walking into that very same building, the very same offices, with a cart full of equipment to film Johnna Reeder Kleymeyer of the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC. Literally, just as I was about to open the door, I glanced at my phone and saw an alert that read, “Congratulations on being selected as a recipient of the Comcast RISE Grant.” I was absolutely floored! I couldn’t wait to share the news with Dani Bolling and Johnna right then and there. Talk about FULL CIRCLE! A huge shout out to my alumni The Thrive Networks, Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, COS Black Chamber of Commerce Chamber, and many others who encouraged us to show up and be part of this opportunity. I hesitated, but I did it, and I’m so glad I did! Here’s to the amazing things ahead, and to all the small businesses making their mark!

I'm absolutely honored to have been part of such a prestigious event with Goodwill of Colorado! ?? Not only did I get the chance to tell four incredible stories through film, but I also learned immensely about the real impact Goodwill is making in our community. Before this project, I thought Goodwill was just about "selling old things to people," but this experience has truly opened my eyes. Goodwill’s mission extends far beyond retail; it's about making significant changes in people’s lives. From empowering individuals like Corbin, who found independence despite disabilities, to supporting redemption stories like Yasar’s, each story I captured showed strength and perseverance. And seeing the Guerrilla Media logo on the big screen? That was the cherry on top! I am beyond grateful for this opportunity to contribute to these stories of change and resilience. Here's to more impactful storytelling! #GoodwillOfColorado #FilmMaking #Storytelling #CommunityImpact #GuerrillaMedia

Super excited to share something awesome I got to work on! A big thanks to the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPeR) for letting me be part of their latest project, which was all about showing off the highlights from their AEP 6 review. ?? Shoutout to Angela Seals for her super supportive words and leadership, and to Dylan Craddock for producing and scripting this project and making it all happen! What started as a pretty simple task turned into something way cooler, because we decided to add some animations and really take it to the next level, just like we love to do at Guerrilla Media. I’m really proud of how it turned out and I’d love to know what you guys think! Give it a look and hit me up with your thoughts!
