Thank You!!! Carolina Stewart and the Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs team for your amazing support during the Startup World Cup! GuardianSat shared the stage with over 100 innovative startups from around the world, all focused on solving some of the planet's toughest challenges. We proud to be part of the movement toward a safer, more sustainable future in space, inspired by the solutions we saw and excited for what's to come!
A couple of weeks ago, I was extremely fortunate to attend the Startup World Cup with Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs to support GuardianSat LLC in their venture to win the $1M investment prize. While we didn't take away the prize, the experience was amazing. With over 100 companies from around the world, what I really took away was the awe at being surrounded by hundreds of innovators and world-changing problem solvers. Many companies produced eye-boggling predicted revenue, but the sustainability solutions were even more incredible. GuardianSat LLC alone is trying to make space a sustainable, safe landscape by guarding satellites and preventing crashes that would create even more space debris. Other companies like Sargassum Eco Lumber are creating wood out of seaweed! Carbon Reform prioritizes purifying indoor air instead of ventilating, making spaces healthier and drastically cutting emissions. And 2nd place winner, Alternō, is harnessing the power of sand and thermal energy to create renewable energy storage with net zero emissions! That is just the tip of the iceberg. It's so inspiring to see how much work is being done in the sustainable development community and to know these entrepreneurs are using their skills to be part of the solution.
