The Guadalupe River Park and Gardens is essential to our community, offering places for play, respite, and connection. Over time, this park has experienced wooly mammoths, lush orchards, and a technological boom which has shaped and impacted the park and its visitors over generations. Whatever the River Park means to you, we invite you to be a part of our shared vision of this 3 mile stretch of San José’s civic greenway. Will you donate today to support our shared vision for the Guadalupe River Park and Gardens??? Your donation helps uplift our rings of growth, rooted in history and supports the protection, restoration, and development of one of our region’s most important and accessible urban green spaces into a place for all community members to enjoy. Our Board of Directors has pledged $28,000 in matching funds towards contributions this year. Donations are tax-deductible, and those made by year-end will help meet this goal. Next year, we are focused on environmental stewardship, park restoration, and building a coalition of supporters for the Guadalupe River Park through programs and engagement. Whether you are a volunteer, social media follower, or donator, thank you for supporting the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy! Our Executive Director, Jason Su, was recently on ABC7 News Bay Area speaking on some of the exciting investments that will be made in downtown San José public spaces thanks to a $750,000 investment from Reimagining the Civic Commons.?In the Guadalupe River Park, this looks like a new placemaking kiosk to support park recreation and activation, enhanced landscaping and beautification elements, and engagement to support community-based activities. The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy, San Jose Downtown Association, Veggielution, SPUR, and City of San Jose Office of Economic Development, Parks, and Transportation Departments will be spearheading activations and programs in Arena Green, SoFA Pocket Park, and San Pedro Street in downtown San José.
