The Greater Tampa Section of ITE (GTSITE) provides members in the greater Tampa area and southwest Florida with a network of local transportation professionals. GTSITE organizes events including lunch meetings with industry speakers, volunteering opportunities, social outings, and an annual awards banquet. The University of South Florida (USF) Student Chapter is also within the Greater Tampa Section. ITE is an international educational and scientific association of transportation professionals who are responsible for meeting mobility and safety needs. ITE facilitates the application of technology and scientific principles to research, planning, functional design, implementation, operation, policy development, and management for any mode of ground transportation. ITE is a community of over 17,000 transportation professionals working in more than 90 countries worldwide.

We had a chance to see public transportation at work today in Tampa to learn about the HART Route 1 initiative! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to socialize and learn about the program.
