Marketing is treated much like a product team by Austin Hay and the Clarify team. They prioritize a few high-impact bets over numerous small ones. Small bets can move the needle but are rarely transformative, while a few strategic, bold moves can drive significant change. Focus on impact. It's better to excel at a few things than to spread yourself thin across many and dilute impact. As a marketer, putting on a product team hat can help with this mindset.
