Andrea is a Contracts and Grants specialist with 18 years of experience in the federal government space. She received her Master’s in Public Administration and Policy from Villanova University and has achieved her CPCM designation through the National Contract Management Agency. Andrea began her career as a Dept of the Army intern and continued her career for the Undersecretary of Defense at Washington Headquarters Services at the Pentagon. She has successfully written proposals and grants for multiple organizations ranging from $10,000 to $3B with great success. Welcome to the team, Andrea!

To use your time effectively, check that your organization’s value propositions match or exceed the solicitation requirements. Key requirements to note include eligible entities, scope of work, geographic location (if applicable), application process and documentation requirements, award type and amount, special set-asides or preferences for type of awardee, and the overall priorities and goals of the government entity issuing the solicitation. Pro tip: highlight and color code key requirements by category, importance, and/or type of requirement. Then, review the key requirements against your organization’s strengths to ensure your organization’s capabilities and value propositions match and preferably exceed the requirements.
