Georgia State's Sales Club offers both business and non-business students a better understanding of sales as a career path and a community for skill enhancement. In a workshop environment led by industry guest speakers and global sales experts, students have the opportunity to refine their abilities, with ethical sales and service experts. Networking with fellow members, sales experts, and academic staff will also broaden their access to future career opportunities.

Last night, the Sales Club in collaboration with the Financial Technology Organization at GSU hosted a dynamic workshop titled “RCB’s Declassified: Professional Survival Guide.” This session was packed with practical tips and interactive activities designed to hone skills that aren’t typically covered in academic curricula. Here’s what we learned: ??Networking with Purpose - Our breakout session on networking emphasized the importance of meaningful engagements over mere exchanges of contacts. Participants learned how to create lasting impressions and forge beneficial relationships. ??Building a Strong Personal Brand - In today’s digital world, a robust personal brand can set you apart. The event provided strategies for effectively communicating your unique value and making your online presence impactful. ??Interview Etiquette - From storytelling to understanding the interviewer’s needs, our interview etiquette station offered key insights on acing interviews and making every answer count. The evening was not only educational but also enjoyable, complete with mocktails, snacks, and opportunities for attendees to get professional headshots taken. Held in the heart of GSU at 55 Park Place, the event provided students with essential skills, valuable connections, and renewed confidence to advance in their professional journeys.   • Looking back at last Thursday’s Sales Club x American Marketing Association at Georgia State University Sales Meets Marketing competition, and wow—what an unforgettable event! The energy in the room was incredible, with teams delivering creative, strategic, and high-impact pitches for Three Peaches Gelato & Coffee. Seeing everyone bring their A-game and pitch like real pros was inspiring, but what made it even more rewarding? Knowing that our ideas are making a real impact on a local business! Takeaways from the event: ? Strategy is everything – The best pitches weren’t just creative, they were backed by solid research and smart execution. ? Confidence sells – The teams that truly owned the room and believed in their ideas stood out the most. ? Real-world impact is the best reward – Helping a business succeed made this competition more than just a challenge—it was an opportunity to make a difference. Huge congrats to our first-place winners, but honestly, everyone crushed it.     Sales Competition Recap – A Defining Experience! Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to compete in the GSU Sales Club x Cox Enterprises Sales Competition—an experience that truly challenged and expanded my skill set. This competition was more than just a learning experience; it was an eye-opener into what it takes to succeed in sales, from objection handling to role-playing real-world scenarios.
