Last week on Friday, June 7th, we had the honor of hosting the spring/summer seminar for the Kansas Groundwater Association at Emery Park and the Boeing Landfill in Wichita, KS. GSI/UES put on a demonstration of PFAS soil sampling, coupled with geotechnical sampling techniques, followed by the installation of a groundwater monitoring well following PFAS regulations. PFAS is of interest to the KGWA with the recent regulations installed by the EPA regarding PFAS testing with municipal and residential water wells. While the demonstration was taking place, Angie Chadd from GSI/UES gave a presentation over PFAS soil and groundwater sampling standard operating procedures.
