Congratulations to the March Employee of the Month, Lorinda Walker! Lorinda Walker is a valued member of the Customer Experience Team and has been with GSTOP since August of 1986. She serves our council from the Amarillo office and assists volunteers throughout the council area. Her Amarillo coworkers all say that she is very humble, intelligent, very dedicated and hardworking. She is an excellent example of the Girl Scout Law and Promise and she always makes decisions based on her values. Her coworkers say: -Lorinda is a quiet warrior on the Customer Care team. A powerhouse on staying on top of cases and diligent on getting answers back to members. A stickler for processes and details. She is a gem! -Lorinda is always willing to help anyone from staff to volunteers. I love that she asks questions to make sure she is sending the correct and consistent message but always advocating for the girls. Congratulations, Lorinda, on a job well done, but more importantly, THANK YOU for your dedication and devotion to the council staff, and to the girls and volunteers of Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains. We appreciate all that you do!

“I was very shocked and surprised at the encouragement my own child provided to me and reassured me that I possessed everything needed to be a great leader for not only her but others,” Brianna recalled." It's a booth buyout! GSTOP CEO Becky Burton and GSTOP Board Treasurer Cynthia Joseph-Keller bought out Troop 2585's booth over the weekend! Of the experience, Becky said, "I have one of the best jobs in the world. Today was one of those mountain top experiences that reminded me why I do what I do. I had the privilege of "buying out" this Daisy Troops cookie booth. Surprised them and bought 100 packages. Don't worry, they are all being donated to our Cookies for Heroes program. It's not too late for you to support our girls and their entrepreneurial efforts." . . Get 'em before they're gone! Find a cookie booth near you by visiting https://lnkd.in/gF2RYdzM. Media Corps Henley B. spoke with GSTOP CEO Becky Burton at the Arlington Highlands Rotary Tuesday, February 18. Henley shared about her experiences throughout her 11 years in Girl Scouts and how the cookie program has allowed her to travel with fellow Girl Scouts and successfully earn her Bronze and Silver Awards. And of course, Henley sold Girl Scout Cookies at the end of the meeting. She sold 60 cookie packages which was matched by Paul Brodie, Arlington Highlands Rotary Treasurer! ??

Thank you, PepsiCo, our new partner for STEM Outdoor Camp and more! We appreciate your kind hospitality in hosting some staff for a tour of your Arlington facility. We loved it and learned so much, we can't wait to have our girls out there to experience it too! Thank you for caring about our Girl Scouts and your willingness to teach them about your company and some of the robotics that go behind it. ?? Congratulations to February's Employee of the Month, Emily Marquez! ?? Emily is a “one woman shop” in Abilene. She serves as the Girl Experience, Product Program, Volunteer Experience, Customer Care and Retail Specialist. That’s a mouthful, huh? Emily has been with GSTOP for 5 years and 9 months, joining GSTOP in April of 2019. She always has a smile on her face, even when she is facing challenging situations, and her attitude is contagious. Emily's coworkers had this to say about her: ?? Emily shines in Abilene. Not only do her volunteers adore her, but she is also a fantastic co-worker. Her ideas bring fresh perspective to the cookie program. Her ability to remain calm in hectic situations makes her an amazing employee. She does her job well, never seeking recognition. She lives by the Promise and Law and truly is a sister to every Girl Scout. ?? Emily is the epitome of a powerhouse!!! She is the heartbeat of Abilene. Not only does she advocate for her community, but she jumps at every opportunity to support them. I love how she collaborates, too. Thank you, Emily, for always being a true leader in your community. We could NOT do it without you.

Congratulations, Jennifer Auburg, for being this month's Employee of the Month! Jennifer came to GSTOP in August of 2019 as an employee but long before that, she was an active Girl Scout. She is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts and was her daughter DJ's troop leader, cookie chair and Service Unit Cookie Chair before joining GSTOP staff. DJ is a Gold Award Girl Scout and she takes after her mom; she teaches second-grade and serves as the Service Unit Cookie Chair for the Amarillo area. As a volunteer, Jennifer is a recipient of the Girl Scout Bobby Heckathorn Cookie Sale Award, as well as the Unsung Hero Award. Jennifer always has a smile on her face, even when she is facing challenging situations, and her attitude is contagious. Her coworkers say: ? Jennifer is willing to jump in with both feet to support any member of her team. She leads with grace and is always ready to step in am make things happen. Jennifer steps in where needed and ensures that volunteers and employees alike get the answers and guidance needed to continue our mission. ? Jennifer is an invaluable part of the product program and retail teams. She has always been a team player, given 110%, and takes a great deal of pride, which is why the team is better with her on it. She has been instrumental in helping the Lubbock area as well as helping mentor the Lubbock new staff once they were hired. Her passion for the program comes through in everything she does and inspires those that work with her. ? She is a hard worker, she cares about her work, she is a strong advocate for her volunteers. She is always willing to help wherever she is asked, and often before she is asked. She took the initiative to support Lubbock instead of waiting to be asked for help.
