Excited to announce that a paper I wrote with Charles Wilson and Emily Caffrey, PhD, CHP was just published in the Health Physics Journal! The article, which explores the last ten years of research on risk from low dose and low-dose rate radiation exposure, proposes next steps to explore *why* we're seeing these differences. This exploration needs to include a retrospective analysis of the study features associated with different findings to untangle whether hidden variables are preventing research from converging on a single framework. Lots more exciting research to come on this topic (both retrospective and novel bench research) from Gryphon Scientific LLC and our partners at University of Alabama at Birmingham!

Gryphon team member John Baggett, PhD participated in a panel for the congressional briefing, Completing the Domestic PPE Safety Valve. The briefing focused on the current state of personal protective equipment (#ppe) manufacturing in the United States and policy recommendations to strengthen US industry. Dr. Baggett presented the findings from the our project, "Towards a Theory of Pandemic-Proof PPE." This work identified solutions to address the shortcomings related to design, production, distribution, quality control, and use of PPE that were observed during previous #pandemics to better protect our vital workforce in the future. The Catalyzing Across Sectors to Advance the Bioeconomy initiative aims to foster collaboration among federal agencies, industry and nonprofit organizations by forming strategic partnerships to tackle the critical challenges of the bioeconomy.
