Joukje Oosterman won the EFIC-Grünenthal-Grant (E-G-G) for pain research in 2016 and it enabled her to investigate fresh areas of research that are still advancing her career in pain science today. It is now 20 years since the E-G-G started funding pain research for early-career scientists. One of those innovators, Joukje Oosterman, recently gave a short interview to explain how the insights from her winning project are still opening up fresh research opportunities – eight years later! ??The E-G-G provided funding for Joukje to explore a new line of research. ??She recently published a paper that directly leverages findings from that research. ??And recognition from the E-G-G helped Joukje connect with the pain science community. Now, Joukje is a full-time professor who leads the Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology department at Radboud University. Want to know more about her career path and the impact of winning the E-G-G? Follow the link in the comments to read her story! ? #EFIC-Grünenthal-Grant #WorldFreeofPain #WeAreGrünenthal
