The election is now over. My Thoughts… We are people before we are politics ?? We all have work today. We all have school. We all have professional goals we are working towards whilst dealing with the biggest news of the year. Millions of people right now at their jobs today are either really happy and exciting about the new president elect, whilst millions are also very upset, hurt, or frustrated. It’s never been so easy to feel divided in a time where the country is literally split so down the middle, and we are told to feel that people who disagree with us are “wrong” or “bad.” We are all people first. Many of us Americans who believe in kindness, hard work, and respect. We all have school, our day jobs, and our friends and family. This is my family. This was my thanksgiving a year ago. (The food was fire ????) Some of us born in America, India, and Africa. Also… because they are my dear family… I know that this whole room was divided in their voting nearly 50/50. But guess what… we all love each other and we will all have thanksgiving again in just a few weeks. You will all go back to work. Back to school. Back to your friends. This message is to say, continue believing in your politics and advocate for your opinions and vision for this country… but not at the expense of your deepest relationships with the good people you have spent time loving and building such deep and true relationships with. Haha at the end of the day we are all different with unique thoughts and ideas… But more than that… We are all the same. Human beings. Wishing smiles and love for everyone reading this ??
