What an incredible video showcasing our 2023 grantee, CommonWealth Kitchen (CWK), and their transformative approach to values-based good food procurement. CWK is rewriting the narrative of food systems by leveraging inclusive entrepreneurship to foster an equitable and sustainable food economy grounded in racial, social, and economic justice. As a Boston-based nonprofit, CWK empowers diverse entrepreneurs to launch and scale food businesses by providing a robust portfolio of resources, including: ? Affordable shared kitchen space ? Accessible food business education ? Coordinated access to markets ? Small-batch manufacturing support Currently, CWK supports nearly 50 diverse businesses, with over 75% being BIPOC-owned. Through innovative partnerships with anchor institutions like Harvard and MIT, CWK transforms surplus New England-grown produce into custom products, integrating them into institutional dining menus and retail spaces. Join us in celebrating the incredible work of CWK and their vision for a food system that empowers entrepreneurs and builds equitable opportunity!
With the generous support of a grant from Eastern Bank, Associated Industries of Massachusetts was proud to sponsor brand videos for several deserving businesses from underrepresented communities. These are amazing businesses who often don't have the resources to produce these types of marketing assets on their own and hence, don't have the opportunity to tell their stories. I'm proud to share the first of these videos. CommonWealth Kitchen is a company that is transforming food systems . With their shared kitchen and other resources, they are creating economic opportunity through inclusive entrepreneurship for up and coming food service companies . Thank you CWK for your inspiring work!!! And many thanx to EmVision Productions, a diverse led video production company, for your masterful storytelling; this video truly captures the essence of CWK. I look forward to sharing more of this work with you in the coming months. Till then...ENJOY!!
