  • ?????????????? ?????????????? ???? ???????? ?????? ??????. You know those days when everything feels a bit... grey? Well, some researchers at the University of Exeter might be onto something that could help. They've been looking into this idea of "green social prescribing" - basically, getting out in nature to boost your mood. They rounded up over 8,000 people who were struggling a bit and got them involved in all sorts of outdoor activities. Now, I know what you're thinking - it's not always easy to drag yourself outside when you're feeling low. But here's the thing: a lot of these folks actually started feeling better. They were using words like "calm" and "happy" more often. It's not a magic cure-all, mind you. But it's something to think about, especially as the seasons change and some of us start feeling the winter blues creeping in. Anyone else find that a bit of fresh air helps clear their head? Or is it just me? #SADatwork

Happy International Day of Light! From Euclid to Newton, from Maxwell to Einstein and others, so many of the great scientific discoveries we rely on today were made possible by the direct or indirect study of light and its properties. But even before the scientific revolution, humans around the world were aware that light could be used for far more than just illumination, as anthropologists, linguists and ethnobotanists studying indigenous cultures have shown. Today, experts around the world continue to explore the nature and effects of light across a wide spectrum of disciplines – leading to advances in solar power, chronobiology, agriculture and more. The freest and most abundant source of light, which organisms on planet earth have evolved to absorb, is daylight. That is why the Daylight Academy is excited to promote international and interdisciplinary cooperation among scientists, architects and other professionals involved in daylight – a light source that still has so much to give. Check out our website for more information about the projects and research our members are involved in: https://daylight.academy/ Don’t miss the announcement of the laureates of The Daylight Award in Daylight Research and Daylight in Architecture!
