  • ?????? Come see how much we’ve grown in a year!! ?? In February 2024, we welcomed the Tito’s Handmade Vodka Team for a CSR Event at Nā Māla Kaiāulu, Grow Some Good’s Community Garden/Farm/Agroforest at the Maui Family YMCA! We later welcomed the Zscaler Team in November 2024, & students from Maui Huliau Foundation in March 2025, with many other visits, workdays, Corporate Social Responsibility experiences, workshops, camps, harvests, & more, over the last 12+ months. This gathering space has become a beautiful haven in Kahului, full of of life & edible delights! ?? With help from generous donors & grants, we are continually evolving & adding shade/seating areas, paths, plants, trees, infrastructure, etc. This is also an amazing place to educate & connect the keiki & community to the 'āina. ?? Contact us at [email protected] to spend time in this wonderful community resource. Mahalo to all who support the creation, maintenance, & growth of this valuable green space!! ????

  • ???? We had such an impactful experience last week! It made a big impression on all attendees. We created special connections & memories, & we’d like to share more photos & mahalos. ?? Mahalo to Kaiāulu Initiatives for the mālama ‘āina workday where students & adults from O’ahu, Kaua’i, Hawai’i, & Maui helped re-plant & re-green the area, worked the soil, painted towers for water reservoirs, & learned about the resilience of Lāhainā. It was a beautiful place to start our “We Grow” event! ?? Mahalo to Hawai'i Wildlife Discovery Center for hosting us for our presentations about the legislative process, taking care of our food sources & environment, & being stewards of the precious land/air/water on Maui & beyond. We appreciated the interactive & comfortable space to relax, have lunch, be creative, & enjoy getting to know each other & the unique wildlife that surrounds us! ?? Mahalo to Moku Roots for the delicious & nutritious meals that fueled us with local plants they grow upcountry! ?? Mahalo to our generous donors who helped give meaningful prizes to every student! ?? Mahalo to the Hawai'i Youth Food Council students for their leadership, knowledge, & informative presentations about advocating for the future they want to see!! We were very impressed by each of them! ?? Mahalo to Vene Chun for his educational & motivational messages, & his fascinating fishpond/agroforest experiences! ?? Mahalo to Hawai'i Farm To School Network & Hawai'i Public Health Institute for helping coordinate & capture this complex event! ?? We are truly grateful for everyone’s participation & support. Even when the grant money was temporarily inaccessible, our teams found ways to move forward! Seeing it all come together was inspiring, & reinforces the hope that we can create positive change & develop community strength together!! ?? ??As the last slide says, “Don’t ever forget how important your voice is!” Speak up, take action, find peers to collaborate with, & grow some good! ??
