Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association, my time was stretched thin, and while I did my best to support our mission, much of it was self-funded, limiting the impact we could make. For this upcoming year, with your help, we’re determined to do more. One program close to my heart is the EmpowerHer Mentorship Program, which uplifts female students of all ages—especially those in shelters, foster care or facing life’s toughest challenges. Through mentorship, leadership workshops, career coaching, scholarships, and confidence-building activities, we will provide these women with the tools and support they need to pursue their education, rebuild their lives, and achieve success. Your donation can help us reach more women, cover workshop supplies, provide scholarships, and ensure transportation access to these vital programs. Last Friday was a truly unforgettable day! Our 2024 Back to School Drive was a heartfelt success, made possible by our incredible partners and great partnership with Wilkie D.Ferguson Jr Bar Association & The Historical Black Police Presinct and Museum and many others. Together, we were able to serve over 127 children with backpacks, and even more with essential supplies once the backpacks ran out. We’re deeply grateful to our sponsors and volunteers who poured their hearts into making this event special for our students, even as the rain came pouring down. Your kindness and dedication made a lasting impact. Thank you for making this day so memorable!

As many of you know, every year my non-profit, Grow, Glow, Giveback Corporation has a back to school drive. This year, we’re happy to partner with the Wilkie D.Ferguson Jr Bar Association, the Historic Black Police Precinct Courthouse and Museum and others for a Back to School Drive being held this Friday, August 9, 2024 with the giveaway beginning at 11 a.m. As we gear up for the new academic year, we’re here to ensure students have the tools they need to succeed and we need to your help.
