US battery manufacturing has risen 25% since 2023, and demand for battery-powered electric vehicles, higher-performing consumer devices and other energy storage applications isn’t going anywhere. ?? In the last few years, Group14 has played a leading role in helping to strengthen this domestic battery supply chain through our Battery Active Materials (BAM) factories. Our most recent $200M award negotiation with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to build a silane manufacturing plant in Washington state is the latest milestone helping us continue to build on this work. Group14 had the honor of joining local partners and officials at the Grant County Economic Development Council’s LEAD Summit to discuss the latest initiatives – from infrastructure projects to workforce development – impacting the future of Grant County.? Moderating the “Building the Future: Workforce” panel, Group14 Community Relations Manager Rachelle Lange led a discussion on hiring, training and reskilling in Moses Lake with Christine Armstrong and Chad Utter from Columbia Basin Technical Skills Center, Michelle Morley from Big Bend Community College and Cari C Horning from North Central ESD. From attending the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting to volunteering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of The Columbia Basin, we have been making a difference in our community.? A few recent highlights:? ?? Chairman Award Recipient - Group14 was honored with the Chairman Award by the 2024 Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce in recognition of our commitment to the local community. With almost 900 volunteer hours and participation in over 30 community events this year, we are proud of our team's dedication to the Moses Lake community. ??Harvest Festival Sponsor - We were proud to be a sponsor of the Downtown Moses Lake Association Harvest Festival! This annual community event celebrates the fall season with live music, costume contests and more. ?Supporting Local Youth - Following the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Columbia Basin’s 2024 annual auction, our team rolled up their sleeves to help with the heavy lifting and post event clean up, providing further support for after-school programs that empower local kids.
