Today, Rachel and Pam were making tool deliveries to various applicants. Vetting applicants to receive these tools is an important part of the process. We have been intrusted with handing them out and they need to go to people that actually need them. While on their deliveries, the ladies also bring a bucket of various supplies just in case the person requesting a tool doesn't really need one when they arrive. They can still leave supplies behind while ensuring the more expensive tools land with those who will use them. This was the case today, when they arrived at a well groomed home that clearly did not need the chainsaw that was requested. As they are driving away, they noticed a crew of 5 volunteers working feverishly with one saw and very little equipment on a gigantic tree across another homeowners bridge. Ground Force Humanitarian Aid team members Pam and Rachel stopped and offered these boys the new fantastic Husqvarna Group 20 inch saw that was otherwise destined to sit in a garage. Can we get a "May The Ground Force Be With You!" on the comments if you appreciate the careful attention to detail our team is taking to ensure your donations go right where intended. ?? These are the moments where we remember why we do this. A boy watches in anticipation after we bought and delivered a new fridge to his a home in North Carolina today. One of three children to a single mom, his room also flooded after a limb came through the ceiling. His carpet has been ripped out which exposed buckled flooring which the team will tackle and replace this week. His home has holes across multiple rooms exposing the young family to the wet and cold weather and even animals and rodents coming into the home seeking warmth and shelter. We have a lot to do still. Going into the 6th week here, there is still a tremendous amount of work to get done. All of us together are making a difference, but we are not done. Donate at GoCajunNavy.org/donate to support us.

The Emergency Management field is not cut out for everyone but those that love it and stay the course are hard to find. Out in the western North Carolina disaster space today I was able to connect with Jennifer Landry, COSS , one of my LinkedIn followers and witnessed how hard she worked and enjoyed what she is doing out here as part of the team of Ground Force Humanitarian Aid . Jennifer is using her experience as a Planner coordinator and writing work tickets to help disaster survivors in need of assistance. GFHA is based at the Walmart parking lot in Mitchell County. Ground Force HA is fortunate to have her and Jennifer would be great addition to any Emergency Management team! Keep up the great work Jennifer and safe travels! #TropicalStormHelene

Spongelle supports. ??? To aid the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, we’ve donated 25% of the proceeds of our sales from Good Morning America's featured Deals & Steals Sale! Thanks to your support, we were able to donate over $41,000 to Ground Force Humanitarian Aid?— a relief and humanitarian aid non-profit helping vulnerable and disabled communities affected by natural disasters. Our donation supports the most impacted regions, such as the community of Spruce Pine and Tri-county areas of Mitchell, Avery, and Yancey to provide medical care, home cleanup efforts, supply distributions, and volunteer coordination. If you’d like to continue helping those affected by Hurricane Helene, please check out Ground Force Humanitarian Aid for more information! #Spongelle #hurricanehelene #donation #relief #humanitarianaid

Together with Operation Airdrop Inc and Ground Force Humanitarian Aid, AmeriGas teams helped coordinate the delivery of more than 1,300 propane cylinders to families and businesses in Spruce Pine, NC impacted by Hurricane Helene. Thank you to everyone assisting with recovery efforts and working to aid our communities in need.
The devastation from Hurricane Helene on the communities of western North Carolina has been profound. Our teams continue to work diligently around-the-clock to deliver much-needed propane in these areas. Seeing the impact to people in these communities made us want to do more, so when Operation Airdrop Inc and Ground Force Humanitarian Aid reached out for help, we leapt into action. With the help of Operation Air Drop, a non-profit that uses volunteer pilots and small planes to deliver supplies to communities in the aftermath of natural disasters, and Ground Force Humanitarian Aid, a humanitarian relief organization delivering aid on the ground, we’ve coordinated the delivery of more than 1,300 propane cylinders via pack mule and ATV to the town of Spruce Pine, NC, and other areas nearby hit hard by the storm, where families and businesses are still stranded without power or resources. Thank you to our operations, ACE, and business teams for working so quickly to coordinate the purchase, fill, and distribution of these cylinders to those in need. There is still so much to do to help aid in recovery efforts, and we have pledged to do all we can to make both direct impacts—by supplying propane to those in need of power and dispatching our Airborne teams for additional boots on the ground—while continuing to look for opportunities to support our neighbors in these communities that we’re honored to live in and serve, as we recover from these devastating storms.
