One way I see construction as having a competitive edge is finding creative ways to give back to superintendents. A good majority of them travel heavily and are away from home. One of the things I hear most often is that companies don’t honor their commitment to the travel home arrangements. Oftentimes, an entire day can be committed to travel. That = one day out the window. How can you attract and retain great field folks? - More PTO - Honor your travel arrangements - Let them pick something fun to do away with (game, etc) - Offer merit bonuses - Offer one extra day to account for travel - Book a fun trip for them or family at the end of the project - Thank them - Call and check in on them

I'm hiring a VP of Construction Operations for a GC partner of ours in Overland Park, KS. ?? $200k-$210k salary + profit-sharing ?? 401k with a 7% match ?? $700/month vehicle allowance ??
