With avian flu ravaging poultry farms across the US, driving egg prices to record levels and threatening supply chains, the need for sustainable alternatives has never been more profound. Our portfolio business, The The EVERY Company has developed a novel solution producing egg proteins brewed by yeast, without hens. While plant-based protein innovations have garnered much media attention in the replacement meat market, EVERY is providing a reliable source for egg ingredient in a variety of applications, including baking, meat binding, and mayo, while using significantly less water, land, and energy than animal-derived egg protein. We are delighted to highlight the latest innovative product to support agriculture’s sustainable transition from our portfolio company Oxbury Bank Plc: the Oxbury Transition Facility. Research by the Soil Association Exchange shows that the majority of producers have limited financial flexibility to adapt their farming systems to meet climate and natural capital goals. Oxbury’s financial facility will provide funding to help British farmers manage cash flows and capital needs while also helping farmers to monitor the environmental impact through measurement of soil organic carbon levels. Congratulations to the Oxbury team! ? #SustainableFarming #SoilHealth #AgriTech #naturalcapital Anthony James
?? We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new product, Oxbury Transition Facility - Helping farmers transition profitably while reducing carbon emissions and improving soil health! So what is Oxbury Transition Facility? ?? The Oxbury Transition Facility is the first of its kind for UK farming businesses. Molly Montgomery, CEO of AeroFarms, a Grosvenor Food & AgTech portfolio company, spoke at the World Economic Forum annual meeting at Davos last week. She highlighted the sustainability benefits of vertical farming and other solutions to address the challenge of providing nutritious foods to populations around the world while preserving our natural resources. Molly and an outstanding panel of peers drew attention to ways in which the private sector can make a positive impact. #AeroFarms #SustainableAgriculture #AgTech #WEF2025 #GrosvenorFoodandAgTech
The dust has settled on Davos and this year’s World Economic Forum. I’ve been reflecting on quite a week, but a standout highlight was being invited to join the panel ‘On Firmer Ground with Land Restoration’. Land restoration and responsible resource use is central to our work at AeroFarms. The potential of innovative private sector companies to make a real impact in the space is something I was proud to have the opportunity to champion alongside Togmid Dorjkhand, Ibrahim Thiaw, Ismahane Elouafi, John Steenhuisen MP, Sir Andrew Steer and Adulatif Rashid. ???AeroFarms use 230 x less land to grow the same amount of microgreens as outdoor farming ???Because we do not use soil or pesticides, there is no soil degradation or runoff ? AeroFarms also uses 90% less water than traditional open field farming, and uses 100% renewable energy to run our farms Solutions to the challenges facing our natural world and food systems are here now. Here’s to building on the promising conversations held in Switzerland as we head further into 2025. #Davos #landrestoration #verticalfarming
