We're making progress on not one, but two library projects in the Big Horn Basin! At the Washakie County Library in Worland, we finally broke free from the cold spell - just in time to push forward with concrete work. Over the past few weeks, crews have poured footings and foundation walls and are now backfilling and bringing the site up to grade to prep for the floor slab. Once that’s complete, the new CMU wall will go up, paving the way for the rest of the library addition. At DT’s Derby Club in Cheyenne, the new storefront doors are in, marking a big step forward for the building entrance. Crews are busy framing the new bar and teller line, while electricians tackle trim-out across the site. The Casper Homewood Suites is rising one step at a time. Phase 1 is underway on the new 4-story, 78,478-square-foot hotel in Casper, WY. Right now, the project team is working alongside Applied Construction Technologies, Inc. as they bring in backfill from the borrow pit to raise the site to its required grade. Once the groundwork is set, it’s on to the next big milestone: pouring footings and foundation walls - the first real glimpse of the structure taking shape. At the Sweetwater County Public Works Fleet and Maintenance Building, crews have been hard at work prepping the interior for the new slab. So far, they’ve removed old concrete, installed an in-floor heating system, and added a new water line. Once the slab is complete, the building will get new overhead doors, radiant heat, upgraded lighting, and refreshed office spaces. And at the Public Works Engineering Building, progress continues in the shop and office areas. New overhead doors are in, framing is done, and electrical crews have completed rough-ins. With the electrical inspection passed, next up is drywall, taping, and texturing - bringing these workspaces one step closer to completion.
