Hurricane Helene has deeply impacted our community, including many of our own employees, as the storm struck close to home. We’re proud to be continuing our efforts to collect and deliver supplies to those in need, and we want to thank everyone who has supported us so far. We’re still accepting donations—every bit counts. In addition to BlueDot and Griffin Masonry serving as drop-off locations, we’re excited to announce that J-Birds Restaurant in Mint Hill has also partnered with us to act as a relief drop-off spot. Our next steps include working with several churches in Rutherford County, where some of our team members from our sister company call home. We’re committed to helping those affected by this disaster, and we’ll be organizing more trips to deliver crucial supplies in the coming weeks. GMI is excited to highlight the Persis Nova Construction Co - Eagles Nest project, a 12,000+ sq/ft residential foundation, and one of the largest projects Griffin Masonry has undertaken in 2024. This project presented significant challenges, as it is located on a mountain-top with a 1,400-foot elevation change. The site required meticulous planning and adjustments for material deliveries. Construction Details: ????????????????????600 linear feet of footings ????????????????????5,000 sq/ft of concrete walls ????????????????????15-foot-tall concrete wall with a 12-foot basement ceiling Challenges Overcome: ????????????????????Navigated complex elevation changes and soft soil conditions ????????????????????Reduced concrete truck capacity for safer deliveries The successful execution of this project is a testament to the collective efforts of a dedicated team.
