Big thanks to LAUREL and Shelisa Demuth for giving us the opportunity to co-host yesterday's Meet the Press event focused on #energy and #climate. It was a wonderful opportunity to shine a light on some of the incredible innovators and disrupters in our ecosystem and connect people for collaboration and impact. We are excited to see how this series grows and proud to be a part of it.

Help us welcome our fall semester Program Development and Outreach Interns - Trung Dam and Nuzhat Fatima. They will be supporting our efforts as the regional convener for the EnergyTech University Prize, the continued growth of the Minnesota Energy Alley initiative, and building a more connected energy innovation ecosystem. Nuzhat Fatima is currently pursuing her Master's in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. She has a background in economics and is passionate about applied, community-engaged research, as she believes in addressing social issues through mixed-methods research. Her studies focus on energy and environmental policy, and she is particularly interested in advancing a just and equitable energy transition. She is excited to learn more about the ecosystem of clean energy technology during her internship. Trung Dam?is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Studies and Data Science at Macalester College. Eager to gain hands-on experience,?Trung?has taken on various opportunities to develop skills with climate tech startups, nonpartisan policymaking, and academic research. He is always?keen to learn from experienced professionals. With his self-motivated and entrepreneurial spirit,?Trung?strives to contribute to building the Minnesota cleantech ecosystem while constantly seeking new challenges to grow both personally and professionally. An absolutely outstanding day for the Grid Catalyst Minnesota Cleantech Innovation Summit. It was more than I can possibly squeeze into one LinkedIn post, but a short recap to make sure we offer some timely big thanks! ? A proclamation! Thank you to the State of Minnesota, Minnesota Department of Commerce, and Deputy Commissioner Pete Wyckoff for this official proclamation of Clean Energy Week on our stage. And with the Deputy Commissioner of Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development Kevin McKinnon there to close us out, we had TWO Deputy Commissioners sharing their insights today! The proclamation was led by Gregg Mast and Clean Energy Economy Minnesota, and we are so honored they chose to share the moment with our event and our audience. ? Over 20 speakers offering insights and wisdom, and even better - some necessary truths to making cleantech innovation a reality. Extra kudos to our impressive and engaging moderators - Jeremy Kalin, Tena Monson, and Laurie McGinley! ? Day #1 of our big week of events comes to a close after spending an incredible day with the Electroposium, hosted by the Technological Leadership Institute, University of Minnesota Center for Electrification Opportunity and closing out the night with our Grid Catalyst welcome reception for the MN Cleantech Innovation Summit. So many opportunities to connect and introduce our stellar startups to MN leaders in energy. My immense thanks to Chip Laingen, CDR, USN (Ret.), M.P.A. and the CEO/TLI team for making space for us to play a supporting role in this great event.
