Last week, staff from KidsABC rural hospitals participated in the Marcus Autism Center Crisis Prevention Program. The program — led by licensed psychologists, physical therapists and behavior analysts — provides compassionate crisis management training focused on safely preventing, managing and de-escalating crises involving children and adolescents. Participants learned strategies and techniques to manage problem behaviors effectively. Special thanks to the following hospitals for attending: Clinch Memorial Hospital, Coffee Regional Medical Center, Crisp Regional Health Services, Dodge County Hospital, Evans Memorial Hospital, Monroe County Hospital, MOUNTAIN LAKES MEDICAL CENTER, Taylor Regional Hospital, and Washington County Regional Medical Center.

Coffee and Clinch counties were among the hardest-hit rural areas in the state by Hurricane Helene. Coffee Regional Medical Center and Clinch Memorial Hospital have been helping local residents as these communities continue to rebuild. Thanks to the generous donations from students, faculty, and staff at Mercer University School of Medicine and GRHIC, we were able to deliver a van full of supplies to these hospitals and communities. Your contributions are making a direct impact!?
