This month marks Coco LI, CFA's 5th anniversary at Gresham. Find out what she loves most about working at Gresham. My favorite part of the job as Investment Officer is the rewarding opportunity to collaborate with some of the most talented and dedicated fund managers in the industry, leveraging their expertise to create value for our clients. Some of these managers left a comfortable job to start their own businesses; some of them still work 24/7 after becoming industry leaders. What they all share in common is a commitment to remain humble and driven on their journey to be the best investors, which resonates with the investment team’s endeavor to meet and exceed clients’ expectations, as well as my own pursuit of intellectual and mental growth through investing. My most cherished memories from these five years at Gresham has been the countless trips with the team. While frequent travel can be demanding, it is the most effective way to forge close partnership with fund managers and exchange insights with fellow capital allocators. Interestingly, many of our most intellectually stimulating discussions and debates internally also took place on the road, as we sat in the hotel lounge in a foreign country, recapping a week-long marathon of meetings. I’m incredibly grateful to Gresham for opening up the world to me, allowing me to engage with some of the best investors globally — and I must say, we’ve got some top athletes in-house too! Congratulations to Coco! Thank you for your contributions to the firm!
