Lozano, and our newly elected District 27 Senator, the Honorable Adam Hinojosa. Topics discussed included education and economic development in the Coastal Bend.

*PHONE LINES DOWN @ G-PISD* | Nov. 15, 2024 @ 9:30 a.m. Due to an issue we understand is impacting our local area, we?would like to inform you that all district and campus phone lines are temporarily down. While employees are connected via our internal (online) network, we cannot process inbound or outbound phone calls at the current time. Our vendor, Frontier, is working on a resolution and we are hopeful that phone capability may be restored sometime today. In the meantime, if you need assistance you can (1) visit a campus or district office in person; (2) reach out to any district employee via email; (3) send an email to [email protected]?and include the SCHOOL NAME or specific department?you need to reach today; or (4) for urgent needs, calls can be made to the following district mobile phone that will be monitored only today and until standard phone lines are restored: 361.445.2162. There will be no change to the school day. Dismissal is scheduled for the regular times and bus routes will run this afternoon along the regular schedule. Local leaders are collaborating for the great benefit of our G-P community! This week, our G-PISD School Board and Superintendent met with the Portland City Council and City Manager via joint public meeting to discuss, share, and generate visionary ideas together that have potential to shape our future. Our district leadership appreciates the connection and time invested by the council, and look forward to future collaborations with the City of Gregory leaders as well to best serve all of our students, staff, families, and community across G-PISD! #goGPwildcats #CelebrateTexasPublicSchools

Another INCREDIBLE DAY in G-PISD as Superintendent Dr. Cavazos and Dr. Kelly Miller, President of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, officially signed the agreement that solidifies offering expanded dual-credit college courses through the Islander Academy @ G-P High School! We have 164 students currently enrolled thanks to this new partnership. Onward and upward, G-P! #goGPwildcats #GPpride

Our G-P Wildcat Band did such an amazing job with their marching performance today at the Tournament of Bands! Well done, students, and all of the Band Booster volunteers who made it a great day for all! ????
