About a month ago, the Greenville Triumph signed a new player - Kamden - with the help of the Make-a-Wish Foundation, to help Kamden fulfill his dream of becoming a professional soccer player. We had an incredible signing day and Kamden has joined the team in practices as we prepare for his professional debut on March 29th against Spokane Velocity. Kamden has designed the pre-match warm up kits that the players will wear before the game and each of those jerseys are available to bid on in auction to benefit the Make-a-Wish programs that make dreams become reality. If you would like to support an incredible cause (and get a very cool looking soccer jersey as well), click the following link to go to the auction page: https://lnkd.in/e2XneMfR Auction Details: Closing Date: March 31 at 5:00 PM Proceeds Benefit: Make-A-Wish Bid Increments: $15 Thank you in advance to everyone who helps to support a great cause and helping to make a dream a reality for so many! The next wave of new soccer stadium builds in the USA is already underway and this time it is is happening outside of MLS. We've seen plenty of new soccer specific stadiums built over the past decade or so thanks to the growth of Major League Soccer and many of them are fantastic venues (think St. Louis, Columbus, Cincinnati, LAFC, Nashville etc). The typical size of an MLS venue is around 22,000-28,000. But now we are seeing clubs in the lower leagues breaking ground on stadiums which are more in the 8-12,000 range and more suited to the size of fan-bases at the lower level. This week Greenville Triumph SC Triumph (USL League One - 3rd tier) and Greenville Liberty (USL-W League) began work on their new 10,000 seater in the South Carolina market. “This stadium will be a place where our entire community comes together to celebrate, to compete and to create memories that will last a lifetime. In addition to the Triumph and Liberty teams, we will allow young athletes of all shapes, sizes, races, religions to come here and play in this great stadium,” said Greenville Triumph Chairman Joe Erwin. “This is your stadium: The peoples’ stadium.” Brazilian legend Ronaldinho, a minority investor in the clubs, was present at the ground-breaking. It's a big task for club's at this level to get the backing for such ventures and support from state and city governments. It also requires a business plan to ensure the venues can bring in revenue from non-soccer events. But when club's are no longer renting and can have full control over their own venue it can be a game-changer in so many ways.

It will be a place where champions are crowned, families gather, and communities unite,” said Joe Erwin, chairman and owner of Greenville Triumph SC and Greenville Liberty. “It will be a hub for our youth athletes, concertgoers, and community celebrations — a place where memories will be made for generations to come.” Read more + previous related news https://lnkd.in/ejnpnC5p Hughes Agency

There are "angel" investors, and then there are "wizard" investors. Global soccer icon Ronaldinho Gaúcho, known as "O Bruxo" for his tricks, no-look passes and overhead kicks is part owner of the Greenville Triumph SC and Greenville Liberty. He was on Main Street today to visit group headquarters, sign autographs at the team store and attend groundbreaking on a new stadium in the region. On October 9, the New York Stock Exchange welcomed Ronaldinho to ring the closing bell, kick off its inaugural NYSE International Day and celebrate his new partnership with the Greenville Pro Soccer group. Our diverse, welcoming community encourages global investment in all sectors.

One of the GREATEST players of all time is in #GreenvilleSC! Global soccer icon Ronaldinho Gaúcho part owner of the Greenville Triumph SC was met by hundreds of fans at the groundbreaking for a new stadium. Ronaldinho signed autographs and spoke with the media at the Triumph's team store on Main Street. He will be recognized on the field at tonight's game. Born in Brazil, Ronaldinho won two FIFA World Player of the Year awards, and us known by the nickname "O Bruxo" (the Wizard) for his tricks, no-look passes and overhead kicks. We can't wait to watch him work his "magic" on the team, spending more time here in Greenville recruiting talent and inspiring the next generation of players.
