Science: Main Street Labs, Kiyatec Inc., Rymedi, Clemson University Department of Bioengineering , all part of a robust life sciences hub. Technology - The Center for Manufacturing Innovation at Greenville Technical College teaches it. Michelin revolutionizes it to gain traction on the tire industry. Engineering - We foster the interest early at AJ Whittenberg Elementary School of Engineering. We have careers for that too including GE Renewable Energy and Fluor Corporation. Arts - Are you visiting Metropolitan Arts Council's Open Studios this weekend or tuning in to Bank of America Fall for Greenville? Math - When you have companies like United Community and Elliot Davis LLC headquartered downtown, there's a need for numbers of people! ?? STEAM thrives here.

#GreenvilleSC successfully transformed from textile town to advanced manufacturing marvel. Mayor Knox White and Greenville City EDC President & CEO Sam Konduros welcomed attendees to the 2024 SC Manufacturing Conference & Expo. More than 200 companies and 2,000+ attendees from across the southeastern US will come to connect on all things manufacturing at the Greenville Convention Center. "Manufacturing changed everything for this area," Mayor White said. "And it's still the backbone of so much we have here."

Is there an inclusive culture? Are there local coffee shops and restaurants? Networking opportunities for Gen Z and young Millennials? ? Greenville checks all of those boxes. "People move here because they want to live here," says Blair Garrou, co-founder and managing director of Mercury-Fund, a Houston-based VC firm. "And then they are living their best life. They're starting these great businesses." Garrou was among the two dozen investors who visited #GreenvilleSC for NEXT GEN's Venture Summit and left with positive vibes.

Asheville 3?? Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach The report also lists us as a top destination for folks from the West Coast, specifically Portland, Seattle and Sacramento. Looking at a brighter future ahead ?? More financial assistance is available to small business owners in #GreenvilleSC recovering from Hurricane Helene. ?? The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation has teamed up with American Express to launch the Small Business Recovery grant program, which will give 1,000 eligible small businesses $5,000 grants to support recovery and resilience against future disasters. Eligibility requirements include, but are not limited to, the following criteria: ? Located in U.S. Small Business Administration disaster-declared counties? ? Financially harmed and cannot cover costs? ? Have between 1-25 employees Grant applications are NOW OPEN until Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
