Greenville is the county seat of Pitt County, principal city of the Greenville metropolitan area, and the 11th largest city in the state of North Carolina. Greenville is the medical, economic, education, cultural, and industrial hub of Eastern North Carolina. The City covers approximately 35 square miles and has a population of 81,798 (according to 2010 U.S. Census data). Greenville, NC is located in the north central coastal plain region of Eastern North Carolina, approximately 85 miles east of Raleigh, 87 miles west of the Atlantic Ocean, and 265 miles south of Washington, DC. The City and Pitt County have become home to many major industries and businesses including Rubbermaid, NACCO Materials Handling Group, Grady-White Boats, and ASMO. Join in the 4th Annual Flip the Switch: Business Holiday Light Contest! Here are the details: ?? One entry per local Greenville, NC business. The business must be located within the Greenville city limits. ?? All photo entries must be submitted via JotForm link: bit.ly/FTSEntryForm24 ?? Must enter before Dec. 13th, 2024 at 12PM EST. ?? Must fill out entry form completely & provide high quality photo that adequately displays the holiday lights & decorations. We cannot accept blurry photos or photos that are too dark. ?? Voting will begin Friday, Dec. 13th at 5PM and end Monday, Dec. 16th at 9AM. ?? Winner will be announced on Dec. 17th at 12PM. ?? Please join the City of Greenville Neighborhood & Business Services Community Development Division for a nonprofit funding workshop for the 2025 funding year. This workshop is designed to advise and assist nonprofit organizations with meeting US Housing and Urban Development guidelines. Nonprofit organizations are required to follow these guidelines when applying for funds from the City of Greenville as sub-recipients. Any nonprofit organization planning to complete an application must attend one mandatory workshop session to be eligible to apply. If you attended the in-person or virtual session on September 26, 2024, you are NOT required to attend this meeting. Session 3 will be held in-person in rooms 328 and 329 (3rd floor) of City Hall located at 200 W 5th St. Session 4 will be held virtually. Please RSVP at https://lnkd.in/ehTaSCy8.
