关于我们

The Greenville Fellows Program is a nine-month (September-May) program designed to help 20-somethings integrate their faith into all areas of their life. The program specifically targets this integration in the areas of work, church, and community. Mentoring, working a paid internship, practical classes in theology, and having the opportunity to serve others, helps equip these developing leaders. We aim to graduate Fellows that will assume the responsibilities associated with being Godly, productive, men and women in the workplace.

  • There is much life that happens each and every day at County Courthouses across the great State of South Carolina. The Fellows had the opportunity to observe that life this past Friday. First, the Chief Justice of the SC Supreme Court, John Kitteridge, did us the honor of explaining the mechanics of the SC judicial system. He also challenged us to think about the goals of the judicial system. Next, we walked through the courthouse itself. Seeing where juries are chosen, where the public engages with the Clerk of Court, and where trials are held gave the Fellows a sense of the important work being done there. Finally, the Fellows observed the revocation of probation and paroles sentences. How do we engage in civics as members of a democratic society? Where do we give voice to those families of those incarcerated? So many good questions to think about. We are grateful for the chance to think on these issues. #greenvillefellows

I had an incredible time at Kidding Around Media's 3rd annual Kaboom Awards! After months of planning and promoting with the team, the event went so well and was such a joy to be a part of. With over 5,000 nominations, 12,000 votes, and 50+ winners, this event truly brought together the Upstate business community! I spent the evening gathering photos and videos for our social media sites, and connecting with our many award winners! This event was such a joy to be a part of from start to finish, and creating content for this event was just as fun as the event itself!?

  • These are the kinds of people mentoring our Fellows each year--pouring out their life experiences. Grateful for the men and women who are willing to share them. #greenvillefellows

I manage insurance for busy households that need a trusted advisor

When I left the nonprofit world 10 years ago, my peers had 7 years of “business” experience on me. I had a few people tell me “You’re way behind. You’ll have to start at the bottom and just try to play catch up. Also…what are you going to do with a political science degree?” But what I had was 6 years experience managing a team, 7 years of coordinating large events, networking, fundraising and public speaking. I’d learned some really transformative things about how to interact with, help people, and read a room. I’d also learned that I wanted to be a part of a team, have a bigger purpose and to serve people. The last 10 years have been challenging as I’ve had lots of opportunity to be stretched and grow. Lots of things I’ve had to learn and two supportive companies that gave me a shot. With my first role in the corporate space, I ended up having an amazing opportunity in business development for a company I loved and a boss that was a great mentor both personally and professionally. The pay wasn’t great but I wasn’t chasing that. I had the chance to sit in and prepare proposals for C-level leadership at national and international brands. I grew in confidence in my ability to speak to anyone and tell stories to sell and the role reaffirmed my conviction of powerful collaboration Since that time I’ve learned an entirely new industry, I’ve built a book of business and served my clients. I’ve grown in my personal convictions and clarity on my ideal client experience and I’ve served as part of our company leadership team as we look towards building a values-based company into the future. No matter where you started or where you find yourself this morning, each day is a day to reflect on how you got here and a day to get better. Enjoy your Friday! #dothingsdifferently

  • Sometimes we limit our skills and talents to our workplace. We only think in terms of production or consumerism within the walls of an office or industry. Not so with those individuals that put on a benefit concert this past weekend. Young Adults from Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church, many of which included past and current Greenville Fellows, organized and executed a plan to use their skills to raise money for a missions trip to Belgium. A key component of the Fellows program is seeing lives lived in the whole, not segmented. When do you draw lines? What does it look like to live a seamless life? Join us and find out. #greenvillefellows

  • Great advice in Emily’s post. Our program is a one-stop shop for all of these things: mentor, job, networking, soft skills, plus community. We still have a few spots for men in our fall class. You can reach out to us directly or go to greenvillefellows.org. #greenvillefellows

?? Employers: Are We Doing Enough to Help New Graduates Succeed in Today’s Job Market? ?? College Students: Struggling to Land a Job After Graduation? Recent reports from CNN highlight a growing challenge: new graduates are facing higher unemployment rates compared to their more experienced peers, marking the widest gap in years. For College Students: 1) Enhance Your Skill Set: Focus on developing both technical and soft skills. Employers are seeking candidates proficient in problem-solving, teamwork, and communication. 2) Gain Practical Experience: Engage in internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer opportunities to build real-world experience. 3) Network Actively: Build relationships with professionals in your desired field to open doors to potential opportunities. For Employers: 1) Invest in Entry-Level Talent: Consider the long-term benefits of training and developing recent graduates who can bring fresh perspectives to your organization. 2) Offer Mentorship Programs: Provide guidance to new hires to help them integrate and grow within your company. 3) Align Roles with Skills: Ensure that job requirements match the skills of recent graduates, creating opportunities for them to contribute effectively. By fostering collaboration between educational institutions and employers, we can create pathways for graduates to transition successfully into the workforce, benefiting both individuals and organizations. ?? Repost if this resonates. ?? Let's connect. ? How can I help you?

Connection. It’s one of the top reasons people apply to become a Fellow. They want to learn how to better connect at their places of work. They want to know how to better connect with their neighbors. They want to know how to connect with a church. A Fellow learns how to build connection in all of these places, but also they connect across countries. Last night this group reconnected to remember the goodness of a shared experience in a small town in Mexico. They helped build a church—and a community—when they visited there in 2024. How are you connecting with those around you today? Want to learn more about Fellows? There are still a few spots open for the fall. #greenvillefellows
