On Dec. 5, we're hosting a conversation about opportunities for climatetech companies in the Everett Docklands, 105-acre site previously owned by Exxon, with ACT | The Alliance for Climate Transition and Davis. This site presents unique opportunities for climate economy businesses due to its proximity to Boston and Cambridge, adjacency to critical electric grid infrastructure, and waterfront access. In particular, the site offers potential for offshore wind developers and climatetech companies looking for R&D, manufacturing, or headquarters space. If you're a startup or mid-sized company interested in exploring growth opportunities in the Greater Boston real estate market, this event is for you! Register: https://lnkd.in/egjx_Jww

We were honored to host the final showcase for Massachusetts Climatetech Studio, a program by FedTech and Massachusetts Clean Energy Center that matched teams of entrepreneurs with cutting-edge technologies from federal and university labs during an intensive 16-week program cohort. Throughout the program, entrepreneurs worked closely with expert coaches and advisors to assess the potential of their technologies and form strategies for successful commercialization. At the showcase, they got onstage to pitch and compete for grand prizes totaling $100k. Congratulations to winners H2 Everywhere, Respire Energy, and CoBon Technologies! Energy is at the heart of climate, which is why we're laser-focused on supporting climatetech innovations in the energy capital of the world: Houston. This was the theme of our Energy Sector Pitch Day at Greentown Houston, which focused on making curated connections between energy-industry-leading corporates, investors, and the startups whose technologies will shape the energy transition, starting at ground zero in Houston. The day kicked off with a private roundtable for investors, followed by a series of pitches from 10 #energy startups and four reverse pitches from corporate partners to share how they work with startups, plus a fireside chat with Barbara Burger and Bobby Tudor. Congratulations to EarthEn Energy's Manas Pathak for winning the audience choice award, and to all of the other startups that pitched: ??? CLS Wind's Kent Johnson ?? Dsider's Sujatha Kumar ?? NOCEnergy's John Restrepo ?? Aeromine Technologies, Inc.'s Carsten Westergaard ?? Capwell Services's Andrew Lane ?? Elementium Materials, Inc.'s Matt Dawson ??? Acelerex's Randell J. ? Deep Anchor Solutions ' Junho Lee ?? CalWave Inc.'s Ryan Davidson And to our partners Sameer Bandhu of GE Vernova, Megan Lund of Woodside Energy, Uma Ranganathan of Equinor, and Irene Gabler of SLB for reverse pitching! After the speaking program, we opened the doors for plenty of networking with climate champions from throughout the ecosystem. As always, thank you to everyone who attended! Our next networking event is our end-of-the-year #EnergyBar at Greentown Boston on Dec. 5, and our next event at Greentown Houston is Canary Media Inc. Live on Jan. 30. NOCEnergy’s technology electrifies the production of high temperatures for heavy industrial processes while staying cost-competitive with fossil fuels and allowing manufacturers to keep their existing infrastructure. Its NOC Cell’s packed-bed heat exchanger delivers hot gas up to 1500°C to power boilers and kilns, taking in just a gas (such as cold ambient air) and electricity (whether from the grid or on-site renewables source). It can also store energy in the form of heat, enabling the use of renewables around the clock. NOC Energy is focusing first on electrifying steam production and mineral-drying processes. After completing its first industrial pilot this year, the company is now closing its seed round and planning for pre-commercial projects next year.
