Greenplum Automated Machine Learning Agent (gpMLBot) was introduced to Greenplum in 2024. gpMLBot is an Auto-ML feature integrated natively into Greenplum. https://lnkd.in/dzK_wgAh What is AutoML? With dozens of available Machine Learning algorithms available in Greenplum and each algorithm contains numerous paramters that can contain both discrete and gradients of values. There are thousands of combinations of ML algorithms and parameters that can be tuned to find the optimized ML model to do predictive analytics on your data. This bot comes with Greenplum, runs on the system system, and uses the same infrastructure as Greenplum, which means you dont need to buy any new hardware or software, you can just start using it with Greenplum. The bot accellerates the user's time to production from data to a predictive ML model built in Greenplum. The model can be used to score new data sets in Greenplum and can also be used to export the trained model to your microservice or application at the edge. For example, customer X is a online payments company. Accounts can be opened using an online form. However some scammers try to open fake accounts in order to create fraud. The payment company can use historical data about account opening attempts and long term closing and fraud of the account to help prevent new fake accounts from being opened. The data is stored in Greenplum and then using gpMLBot a model is trained that can predict fraud to a high degree of accuracy. Using the export function the model is exported to PMML open format and then deployed as a microservice outside of Greenplum and integrated to the account opening feature to help prevent fraud in real time.
