Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning network that acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. It comprises 26 independent national/regional Greenpeace organisations with presence in over 55 countries across Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, as well as a coordinating and supporting organisation, Greenpeace International.
We don’t accept any funding from governments, corporations or political parties – our work is funded by ordinary people. That means we are free to confront governments and corporations responsible for the destruction of the natural world and push for real change.
We do this by investigating, documenting and exposing the causes of environmental destruction. We work to bring about change by lobbying, consumer pressure and mobilising members of the general public. And we take peaceful direct action to protect our Earth and promote solutions for a green and peaceful future.
Greenpeace UK works on a range of campaigns, including climate emergency, forests, ocean sanctuaries and ocean plastics. We are always looking for talented and dedicated individuals to join us and continue creating meaningful and impactful campaigns.

Greenpeace activists have surrounded oil giant Shell’s HQ with once-cherished belongings communities wrecked by recent typhoons in the Philippines. We flooded water into glass cases to mimic the damage caused by supercharged typhoons, before we smashed ?? the glass to the water spilled out. We swept the glass to shells front door and left the belongings and brooms so Shell could clean up THEIR mess Big Oil giants like Shell are making BILLIONS in profit by doubling down on fossil fuels which is driving the climate crisis we see all around us. While ordinary people in the Philippines and elsewhere across the world are the ones having to pay for the damage. We’re demanding that Big Oil is made to PAY for its climate damage. With us? 78% of primary-aged children are worried about climate change. That’s one of the stark findings from new YouGov polling we’ve commissioned at Greenpeace UK. While climate anxiety among teenagers is well documented, much less attention has been given to younger children—until now. Our research also found that 70% of primary teachers don’t have enough time to help students process these concerns, and 82% would welcome resources to support them. That’s why we’ve worked with psychotherapist and eco-anxiety expert Caroline Hickman to create new guides for parents and teachers—practical tools to help navigate these difficult but essential conversations. We can’t shield children from the reality of the climate crisis, but we can equip them with emotional resilience and hope. ?? BREAKING: Shell BACKS DOWN in their lawsuit against us. After a year of people-powered campaigning, Shell has backed down from their unreasonable demands and we have agreed to a settlement. Shell sued us for millions over a peaceful protest and we could have been liable for $11 million in damages and legal fees if we lost. But together we showed Shell their shady tactics won’t intimidate us - and now they’ve backed down and agreed to settle out of court. People power works - this campaign was fought with the support of thousands of ordinary people against one of the richest companies in the world.
