Yesterday marked the 54th Annual Samuel A. Green Scholarship Award Ceremony where the Green Family Foundation and Firstrust Bank awarded 24 high school seniors from the Greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley region with $365,000 in college scholarships. The 24 SAG scholars were celebrated in a ceremony at the Firstrust Bank Club at the Philadelphia Eagles stadium with a locker room tour, a field tour, and a keynote speech from Former All-Pro Philadelphia Eagle and Founder and President of the Make The World Better Foundation, Connor Barwin. Nearly 450 students applied for the scholarships this year. The Samuel A. Green Scholarship Program, one of the region’s most renowned high school scholarship programs, granted two-year college scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $12,500 per year to community-minded seniors who crafted personal essays about how they will leverage their education to substantially impact their communities. Thank you to all that applied and congratulations to our recipients and their families.
